Formative Assessment is assessment for learning, not assessment of learning.
Teachers should use formative assessment to:
provide information which students are moving towards the success criteria
identify what has/ has not been taught well
identify strengths and weaknesses in teaching
set adjustments on how to teach the concept(s) being measured
enable students to self-assess their progress and take action in terms of where they are going, how they are getting there and where they might go next.

Tech Tools & Strategies that can facilitate Formative Assessment There are many sites, apps and other resources out there to help with formative assessment. We need tools that will allow use to gain 'just in time' evidence of student progress related to success criteria, so that adjustments can be made appropriately.
